Governance
Prestley Wood Academy is governed by a Local Governing Committee. This group of people is made up of a chairperson, headteacher, a range of local business and community representatives and parent representatives. The LGC meets every half-term and minutes of the meetings are readily available upon request.
The core functions of the Riverside Meadows Academy LGC are built upon our ARC model:
- ASSURE: Provide the Board of Trustees with local insight and assurance on academy performance, pupil outcomes and the quality of education and provision.
- REPRESENT: Act as a vital link between the academy, its community and the Trust, ensuring local perspectives inform governance and strategic oversight.
- CHAMPION: Promote the Trust’s mission, vision and values, celebrating academy achievements and advocating for the needs and aspirations of pupils, families and the wider community.
Prestley Wood Academy is part of Horizons Education Trust. The Trust has a Trustee’s board who oversees the Multi-Academy Trust.
